The renowned Osteria Da Fiore is a family-run restaurant in Venice, located near San Polo Square, a few steps from Rialto Bridge. Once an old Venetian tavern it now has an elegant and refined décor, tables are well-laid with silvery cutlery and fine porcelain modern dinnerware. Mara Martin is the chef and she gained her interest in cooking from her grandmother who was also a celebrated chef in her home town, while husband Maurizio is the charming host.
Mara's exquisite cooking has earned her worldwide recognition and she has picked up a prestigious Michelin star along the way. The kitchen offers a virtuoso of flavours with re-invented traditional Italian dishes, presented with culinary expertise and flair. Some of the more popular signature dishes that delight diners are the seabass in balsamic vinegar and the the tunny-fish flavoured with rosemary and the typical Venetian dish of risotto and molecche. There are a tempting line-up of desserts to finish including a chocolate pie and the lemon and liquorice sorbet.
