Merchants Bar & Restaurant at 62 Castle Street - Liverpool

Merchants Bar & Restaurant is the new restaurant set within the chic boutique hotel, 62 Castle Street, a renovated Georgian Grade II-listed building, once home to the Midland Bank, with magnificent views across James Street to the Victoria monument.

A beautiful domed ceiling crowns the elegant bar and restaurant, which neatly blends classic style with contemporary design. There is a varied menu which caters to all tastes, ranging from small plates to larger classic dishes as well as a varied grill section. Expect tempura soft shell crab and king prawns, sweet chilli and lime mayonnaise or a terrine of slow cooked ham hock, homemade piccalilli and toasted black pudding bread amongst the starters. Main courses take in slow roast pork belly, caramelised apple tart with honey sauce, pan-fried fillet of seabass, crushed new potatoes, spinach, tomato and chorizo chutney or choose from a range of steaks from the grill menu.
