L'Orient - Pinner

Situated in a fine old building on one of the most attractive streets in Middlesex, L'Orient comprises five separate and very distinctive dining rooms under one roof. Beyond the historic frontage with its full-length leaded windows is a lavishly decorated interior emblazoned with floral arrangements and ethnic artefacts.

Master chefs from Japan, Thailand, Malaysia and China create separate menus of classic specialities that are true to their native region or country. The Chinese 'Forbidden City' menu offers five-spiced spare ribs, wine-braised chicken with ginger sauce, and zaijiang noodles with minced beef and yellow bean topping, for example, while 'Tokyo Joe' lists tonkatsu pork, chicken teriyaki, edamame beans and steamed soba noodles with seaweed and more besides..

It's essential to book at least a week ahead (two weeks in advance for tables at the weekend). Themed private dining rooms are available in the upstairs Premier Club.
