Restaurant 54 - Broadstairs

Restaurant 54 is a charming restaurant located on 54 Albion Street in the heart of Broadstairs' conservation area, owned by Avril Henry, Restaurant Manager and Chef Joe Silk, who after a number of years in the hospitality business have achieved their dream of owning their own restaurant.

Joe is a keen supporter of local ingredients which he brings together with a creative twist. Typical offerings on the carte include starters of garlic tiger prawns sautéed with shredded chorizo, rustic croutons and rocket or roasted fig and goats cheese salad with balsamic syrup and roasted pine nuts. Follow on with roast fillet of pork with stir fried greens, creamy wholegrain mustard sauce and bacon parmentiers or fillet of gilthead sea bream on roasted tomato and chorizo confit with crushed potatoes and rosemary butter sauce. Traditional desserts follow with chocolate, brandy and black cherry trifle topped with white chocolate custard or sticky toffee pudding with hot banana butterscotch and walnut ice-cream. Service is very friendly but efficient and the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed.
