A contemporary Lebanese restaurant in the stock exchange district of Paris, Liza is named after the owner, Liza Soughayar and it has been getting rave reviews ever since it opened. Designed by Hubert Fattal and his team of Lebanese designers this is a stylish place with a light and airy atmosphere.
The cooking is a mixture of traditional and inventive Lebanese cuisine and varies according to market availability. Expect a wide choice of mezzes such as Jawéneh, crispy chicken wings with garlic and coriander or Makanek, pan-fried homemade Lebanese beef sausages with pine nuts and pomegranate sauce. Generous main courses could feature Kastaleta, grilled lamb cutlets, lentil puree and cherry tomatoes with cumin or Sultan Brahim, red mullet with Swiss Chards and sesame sauce. For desserts there is an assortment of Lebanese pastries or try French toast with cinnamon, compote of apples and bananas and cinnamon ice cream.
