Restaurant 20 is the new restaurant in The Kings Hotel situated in the old town of Swindon, centrally located between M4 junctions 15 and 16. The restaurant, sporting a recent makeover has a modern décor with contemporary prints adorning the walls and a relaxed and welcoming vibe.
The kitchen serves a menu of modern European dishes showcasing the finest seasonal British ingredients. Amongst the starters you could choose Cornish diver scallops, black pudding, apple purée or the Parma ham, pancetta and chorizo, olives and dressed salad, designed for sharing. Main courses take in an inventive pigs trotter filled with apple and pork, black pudding, creamed mash and rich red wine glaze or a succulent 24 hour slow roasted pork belly, braised red cabbage, mustard mash and red wine jus. Desserts are an enticing mix of flavours with homemade orange cheesecake with ginger, paired with beetroot ice cream or a Baileys and chocolate crème brûlée and their delicious homemade ice creams have become a favourite choice.
Bar 20 is open all day and serves home cooked food in a relaxed environment where people can chill and read the papers over a fresh cup of coffee. It's open for breakfast "fit for a King!" as they say and it's a great place for lunch with a popular Carvery every Sunday. Look out for hot roast beef sandwiches every Friday. Free wi-fi makes Bar 20 a great meeting place for business people and the Cask Marque approved real ales brings in the beer connoisseurs.
