Review on Copper & Spices
Copper & Spices is a popular neighbourhood restaurant serving Indian cuisine, situated on Ludlow Street in the centre of the market town of Navan in County Meath. Behind the double fronted exterior you will discover an elegant restaurant with a contemporary dιcor and a relaxed ambience.
You will find no artificial additives or lurid red colourings here, instead the kitchen is keen to use freshly ground spices and first-class raw materials from local sources, with trusted suppliers listed on their website. Menus change regularly showcasing innovative dishes and you could open proceedings with a starter of fish cake consisting of salmon and cod, basil, sweet chilli and hot soya and pea puree. For a main course choose a succulent lamb dish of Archari Gosht with fenugreek, onion, mustard, caraway and fennel seeds tempering and pickle flavours or for fish lovers there's Kerala fish curry, Tilapia fillet, black pepper and turmeric crust, mustard coconut and curry leaf broth. To finish there are international desserts in the shape of chocolate fondant or a selection of ice cream.
Service is attentive and friendly and there's a carefully selected wine list and Indian beers to complement the dishes. The restaurant also operates a cookery school if you are interested in learning how to cook Indian cuisine. Copper & Spices has a sister restaurant located in Folkestone, Kent that is also receiving excellent reviews from diners.
