Review on Madison
Take the scenic glass lift to the top of the One Exchange shopping centre in the heart of the City of London, where you will discover Madison, a fabulous rooftop terrace, bar and dining spot, part of the D & D London restaurant group. Open all day, the restaurant offers guests relaxed dining on dark leather seating set against polished wood tables. Sloping windows and a glorious terrace provides breathtaking views of St Paul's Cathedral, as well as other City landmarks including the London Eye, the Tate Modern and the Shard.
The open kitchen is presided over by Head Chef Robin Tarver, who has worked for D & D for a number of years, with much of this time at The Royal Exchange. Prior to this he spent a year visiting 34 countries improving his craft of worldwide cuisine and his menu showcases these influences.
Popular with city workers lunchtime who pop in for a light bite or a hot dog with half lobster, avocado and mayonnaise, diners can also enjoy a steak cooked on their Josper grill. Elsewhere look for starters such as baby back pork ribs, treacle and rose harissa or seared tuna loin, pickled vegetables, wasabi and mayonnaise. To conclude there's cookies and cream, Oreo cookie and vanilla pastry cream or sticky toffee pudding and custard.
