Review on Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill
Located in the chic boutique Hotel Indigo in the heart of Glasgow city, just a short walk from the Glasgow Royal Concert hall, celebrity chef Marco Pierre White has added a further restaurant to his stable of self-named Steakhouse Bar & Grills. Situated on the ground floor, it's a modern and relaxed venue with vibrant banquette seating, including cosy semi-circular booths set against crisp white linen tables, and walls displaying large black and white pictures of Marco.
The food is based around keenly sourced regional ingredients with the finest quality Scotch beef supplied from native breeds. Fritto misto of calamari and shrimps sauce tartare might open the show or maybe the boiled ham en gelιe with parsley homemade piccalilli and toasted sourdough might be more to your taste. Main courses offer up the likes of macaroni of lobster with fresh tarragon or there's a good selection of succulent steaks served with grilled tomato, watercress, onion rings and triple cooked chips. Old faithfuls such as a classic knickerbocker glory with raspberries or Cambridge burnt cream round things off nicely.
There's a carefully chosen wine list to complement the food as well as carefully crafted cocktails.
