Review on Japonice
Launched in 2005 Japonice is located in the heart of the city of Palma, nor far from the Borne in Mallorca, with siblings located in Alicante, Madrid and Valencia. Laid out over two floors it's an elegant venue with a minimalist décor, decked out in subtle colours of pink-gray and orange and black, with comfy chairs set against light oak wood tables. Downstairs they showcase teppanyaki which is all about theatre and entertainment, with the chef working his wizardry and culinary dexterity in front of your eyes.
Diners are presented exquisitely displayed plates of Japanese dishes such as prawn ceviche, sushi creations, gunkan in the shape of Ikura, salmon eggs or an assortment of sashimi consisting of salmon, tuna and white fish. When it comes to main courses there's beef tenderloin or teriyaki salmon, finishing with a dessert of black chocolate strudel and banana or you could opt for a refreshing sorbet which includes the flavours of sake, lime and wasabi.
To complement the food there's a nice selection of sake and Japanese beers, alongside a small choice of Spanish wines. The restaurant also operates a home delivery service.
