Review on Made In China
Made In China is set on Carrer de Ramon y Cajal, a quiet shopping area in a mainly residential part of Palma. Owned by experienced restaurateur Weifan Wang who has lived in Spain for some 28 years, she previously run a restaurant in the upmarket Madrid suburb of Pozuelo de Alarcón. Inside, it eschews the traditional trappings of Chinese décor in favour of a modern contemporary setting, with a few tasteful monochrome pictures of China adorning the walls.
The kitchen sources fresh ingredients for an extensive menu that offers an impressive choice of good quality Chinese food, that also includes a tasty selection of dim sum. The lunchtime set menu is of particular good value as a drink and dessert or a choice of coffee or tea are included. To accompany the food there's Spanish wine, as well as a few Mallorcan bottles.
