Review on Rudding Park Hotel, Horto Restaurant
Rudding Park is a privately owned country house hotel just 10 minutes drive from Harrogate, a Grade I listed Regency house nestling in 300 acres of parkland, it boasts a spa, gym, cinema and an 18-hole golf course. Guests have a choice of two restaurants, the Clocktower and also their showpiece Horto Restaurant, named Best Fine Dining Restaurant, Yorkshire Evening Post Oliver Awards 2018, and the holder of three prestigious AA Rosettes.
The kitchen taps into the bountiful supplies of the hotel's kitchen garden and menus reflect the very best of the days finest produce, supplied by gardener Adrian Reeve. Guest can choose from an a la carte or tasting menu with the options of wine pairing. As a curtain raiser enjoy asparagus, almonds and shrimp before moving on to Yorkshire Wagyu, pickled girolle and truffle or halibut and caviar veloute. Desserts are pretty assembles in the shape of rhubarb, coconut and woodruff or apple, aged soy and clotted cream.
