Review on The Ivy Tower Bridge
Enjoying plum position, the latest incarnation of The Ivy from Caprice Holdings sits directly opposite the iconic Tower of London and Tower Bridge. It makes the most of it's enviable riverside setting with a lovely secluded Parisian-style outside terrace to take in the magnificent views. Inside it's laid out over two floors with its signature glamorous décor decked out in blue, mustard yellow and burnt orange from the acclaimed Martin Brudnizki Design Studio.
Open all day, Executive chef Sean Burbidge has created menus that aim to give diners ample choice across the board at any given time of the day. As well as the The Ivy classics like their well known shepherd's pie, there are other options worth pursuing if fish is your preference such as the salmon and smoked haddock fish cake with crushed pea and herb sauce with a soft poached hen's egg and baby watercress. For sweetness, the choice might be between the flourless cappuccino cake, a warm chocolate cake, milk mousse and coffee sauce or crème brûlée.
There's an extensive wine list that offers something for everyone in terms of both taste and budget alongside handcrafted cocktails.
