Mobile Food Guide Review of Frankie's Italian Bar & Grill

Celeb jockey Frankie Dettori teamed up with Marco Pierre White to open this glamorous Italian bar and grill on the site of Chez Max off Brompton Road. The vast basement dining room is dressed up to the nines with giant 'disco-style' mirror balls suspended from the ceiling, mirrored walls and chequered ceramic floor tiles. 'It's glitzy and feels like a real treat, but prices don't reflect that,' observed one satisfied Mobile Food Guide user.

Classic grills, pizzas and pasta dishes are the mainstays of the menu, but the choice is fleshed out with cold calf's tongue and mostarda di Cremona, Caesar salad, honey-roast belly pork, escalope of veal milanese, and desserts such as tiramisù.

There are branches on Chiswick High Road W4, Piccadilly Circus, W1 and Putney Bridge Road, SW15, with further outlets in the pipeline. All are run along similar lines.
