A galaxy of famous names and faces have frequented this popular and long-serving Chinese restaurant over the years: it's a great favourite with big-name players on the snooker circuit, but it also attracts performers from the nearby Pier & Theatre, and is handily placed right next to the Bournemouth International Centre.
The Ocean Palace specialises in Peking and Szechuan cuisine - although you will also find plenty of Cantonese favourites on the lengthy 200-dish menu. Appetisers like deep-fried shredded smoked chicken with garlic and chilli or grilled pork dumplings give way to Peking duck, sea-spice oysters with bamboo shoots and 'fungus', grilled Kung Po chicken in egg batter, and sliced beef with black pepper sauce.
