Review on Indigo Restaurant, One Aldwych
Indigo is the signature restaurant in the ultra-chic contemporary One Aldwych hotel located in the heart of Covent Garden. It's a stylish spot set on the mezzanine overlooking the buzz of the slick Lobby Bar.
Headed by talented chef Dominic Teague, the restaurant is open all day working its way through breakfast, lunch, dinner and post-theatre suppers. Kick off with starters in the shape of hand-picked Dorset crab, potted shrimp and pickled mackerel or organic Rhug estate pork, crackling, Granny Smiths and sea purslane. Follow on with a main course of beer battered day boat fish, hand cut chips, crushed peas and tartare sauce or from the Grill choose 28 day aged grass fed British beef, cooked medium rare and served with roast shallot, hand cut chips, soft herb salsa. When it comes to desserts there's chocolate mousse, honeycomb, almond milk ice cream or for something more zingy opt for the Pimm's jelly, cucumber and charentais melon and mint granite.
