Review on The Lord Crewe Hotel
Bamburgh’s imposing Norman castle towers stands in the background behind this Grade II-listed hotel. The smartly refurbished bar and restaurant is where guests can enjoy classic dishes from home abroad with a contemporary twist using the finest local ingredients.
The menu might open with venison terrine and cranberry chilli dressing or garlic mushroom with garlic mayo dip, before oven-baked cod on roasted Mediterranean vegetables with lemon butter sauce, braised lamb shank on minted mash or roast duck breast with apricot compote. Round things off with traditional apple flan or Baileys and praline ice cream sundae.
