Review on Firehouse Rotisserie

'Honest food from the fire' is the business of the day in this listed Georgian building right in the heart of historic Bath. An open kitchen at the back of the joint deals in eclectic food with a strong Californian accent.

The rotisserie and grill occupy the spotlight and are deployed for vivid ideas like free-range Texas-spice chicken with jalapeño coleslaw and hickory-smoked barbecue dip or stone-baked fillets of sea bass with wild oregano, lemon olive butter and roasted cherry tomatoes.

In addition, you can also get 'small plates' of - say - Chinese chicken salad with spicy sesame dressing or char-grilled Thai steak with coriander, chilli, lime and noodle salad as well as a range of brick-fired pizzas with colourful toppings. There's a second branch in Anchor Square, Bristol BS1 5DB.
