The Restaurant Bistro and Café Terrasse is a Schwellenmätteli restaurant located in Bern offering breathtaking views. The spacious outdoor area extends far out over the River Aare and offers fantastic views of the Federal Palace, the city's cathedral and the old town. On the menu is a selection of local and Mediterranean dishes, including fresh perch fillets braised with nut butter and boiled potatoes, and grilled sirloin steak, served with mustard herb sauce and French fries. Desserts tempt with a rich dark chocolate mousse served with double cream or pistachio ice cream with sherry and amaretti. During July and August the restaurant presents a delicious seafood menu fresh from the grill.
