Chaophraya is the latest addition of this well regarded group of Thai restaurants, located in the heart of Bullring in Birmingham it is set over two stunning floors on Spiceal Street. The restaurant has a modern luxurious décor, featuring a unique jelly fish tank, and an open kitchen where you can watch the chefs at work.
The 100 dish menu features classic dishes from different regions of Thailand and covers all the standard bases, from soups and salads to curries and noodles, with plenty of possibilities for vegetarians. Stand-out dishes include Massaman lamb shank, braised lamb shank with peanuts, potato and deep fried shallots in a Massaman curry sauce served with grilled pumpkin and broccoli and chargrilled sea bass stuffed with lemongrass, galangal, kaffir lime leaves with fresh chilli and lime sauce.
