Review on Valentino's Restaurant
Valentino's, 'A friendly place for a taste of real Italy,' noted The Birmingham Mail, which just about sums up the appeal of this long-serving family-run restaurant.
The kitchen delivers a big selection of traditional Italian favourites based on good ingredients, with pasta and fish as two of the star turns: look for fettuccine marinara, sautéed monkfish with lobster bisque, and salmon with saffron, cream and prawns. Meat eaters could go for veal saltimbocca or baked lamb shank, and vegetarians will also find plenty that appeals. Excellent-value three-course business lunches are worth noting.
Expect a warm, cheery atmosphere, with ebullient service as only the Italians know how. Don't miss the jazz nights on the first Tuesday of each month.
