Review on The Crown At Bray
The Crown at Bray, now part of the Heston Blumenthal empire which sports three restaurants in Bray alone, is a 16th Century inn with log fires and oak beams aplenty. After the Blumenthal makeover The Crown keeps its local pub feel while offering simple, hearty pub food from seasonal ingredients so expect anything from cream of mushroom soup to baked suet, steak and ale pie or free range pork sausages with mash and onion gravy. Desserts keep the English theme with the likes of lemon curd tart or sticky toffee pudding while British cheeses follow suit. A 'considered' wine list and a selection of real ales complete the picture.
