Review on Dormy House Hotel, The Back Garden
Dormy House is a 17th century former farmhouse retaining all of the original features and has loads of exposed beams creating a warm atmosphere. The hotel re-opened in August 2013 following a £10m refurbishment programme, with new interiors designed by Todhunter Earle and gardens created by landscape architect and TV presenter, Chris Beardshaw.
Food wise there is an all-day dining pub called The Potting Shed and the new Back Garden restaurant with menus devised by former two-Michelin-star chef Martin Burge and talented Head Chef, Sam Bowser. Ingredients for the carefully crafted dishes are both farmed and foraged, as well as supplied from trusted local suppliers they have built up a special relationship with.
