Review on ffresh restaurant
Ffresh restaurant in Cardiff Bay can be found in the Wales Millennium Centre, with its reputation as one of the World's iconic arts and cultural destinations. The restaurant situated on the centre's ground floor has a stylish and contemporary décor, with fabulous views of Cardiff Bay from its floor to ceiling windows.
Leading the kitchen is Marc Corfield, who in consultation with Shaun Hill of the acclaimed The Walnut Tree where he worked for over six years has produced a seasonal menu with a focus on Welsh produce. The kitchen endeavours to source local, seasonal and ethical produce for their menus that have been developed in partnership with renowned chef Shaun Hill of the Walnut Tree in Abergavenny. Among the starters look for ham hock and leek terrine with piccalilli or warm pigeon salad paired with spiced apple puree. Main courses could feature fillet of Welsh farmed seabass, coriander and chive risotto and mussel cream or succulent roasted loin of pork, creamed savoy cabbage and bacon. While desserts offer satisfaction as in rhubarb pannacotta with orange shortbread or a traditional warm sticky toffee pudding with butterscotch sauce.
