Review on The Pilot
This Chiswick neighbourhood gastro-pub is famed for its splendid garden, which really comes into its own during the summer months. Inside, things can also get hectic - especially in the evenings, when drinkers and eaters jostle for space in the wood-panelled bar and refectory-style dining area at the front of the pub.
The blackboard menu advertises everything from BLTs to stuffed chilli crab via mixed mezze platters, stuffed baby squid with wild rice, chicken breast stuffed with Gorgonzola and pancetta followed by desserts ranging from sticky toffee pudding with caramel sauce to assorted ice creams. Another blackboard also lists a fair showing of quaffable wines.
