At the very heart of Glasgow's social and cultural scene, this striking Victorian edifice has been impressively transformed into a superb luxury hotel with top-of-the-range facilities. The imposing stone façade remains, but the interior strikes a thoroughly contemporary note.

The Brasserie is an eye-catching space with minimalist design features, stripped wood floors and luxuriant greenery. Scottish produce dominates on the menu, with seafood as one of the major stars. Typical offerings might include scallops with black pudding, pomme soufflé and crisp pancetta, a mixed seafood platter with chive beurre blanc or rump of lamb with tomato confit, followed by desserts such as banana and praline parfait or a trio of chocolate.
