Review on Dishoom

Dishoom is an all day dining concept inspired by the Bombay cafes that were opened by Persian immigrants, in what is now known as Mumbai. The modern restaurant just a short stroll from Leicester Square has been designed by Afroditi Krassa in a somewhat brasserie style, with marble-topped tables, bentwood chairs, low lights strung across the high ceiling and interesting Bollywood posters adorning the walls.

The restaurant which is proving very popular is open from breakfast to dinner with a tapas-style menu that is designed for grazing. For breakfast you might opt for the egg naan roll, fried egg, homemade chilli jam in a fresh naan, lunchtime and dinner you could choose salads, biryanis, grills or a selection of their small plates. While desserts offer satisfaction in a pineapple and black pepper crumble, nutty seed crumble served with ice cream or a traditional crème caramel.

There is a small concise wine list, with offerings by the glass as well as delicious cocktails, lassis and beers. Check out their other branches on their website.
