Review on Sebastian Restaurant
Restaurante Sebastián at Deia is set within a former stable, over 250 years old and skilfully restored to retain the original stone walls and traditional Mallorca benches. Add a touch of mountain scenery and a warm candle-lit atmosphere, there is no wonder why the rich and famous beat a path to its door. After a 2 year stint at El Olivo, Chef/Patron Sebastian Pasch set up his own restaurant here with his delightful Irish wife Patricia who has her own special way of pampering guests front of house.
Meanwhile, back at the stoves, Sebastian works on an ever changing Mediterranean/Fusion menu while maintaining a backbone of his most popular signature dishes. First timers should get up to speed with lobster and green asparagus ravioli, the famous rack of lamb with honey and rosemary crust, and for pudding, go for the chocolate mousse with raspberry filling. Pop back the next evening and catch up on the daily specials which may take in the likes of breast of quail with veal sweet breads, lamb's lettuce and pine kernels, foie Gras with apple puree and old balsamic or duck breast with beluga lentils, parsnip crisps and a balsamic sauce.
The wine list supports proceedings without fault and gathers together some of the finest from across Europe.
