Part of the Grand View Hotel opposite the Jubilee Clock, this likeable trattoria is one of the most popular choices for no-frills Italian food in Douglas. The long menu majors in pizzas and pasta dishes (note the tagliatelle with local 'queenies' and green pesto or fusilli with aubergines, salami and tomato sauce with Mozzarella). Otherwise, work your way through the choice of antipasti and focaccia (with various toppings), follow on with a main course such as halibut steak with rosemary and white wine or escalope of pork with Marsala sauce and finish with one of the traditional desserts.

The food is backed up by a cheap-and-cheerful international wine list with a noticeable Italian presence. Pizza takeaways are now available from Monday to Thursday.
