Review on A Taste of Speyside
This modest pine-furnished eating house is dedicated to all things regionally Scottish. Top billing goes to The Speyside Platter – a cornucopia of smoked salmon, whisky-laced chicken liver pâté, local farmhouse cheese, smoked venison, sweet-cured herrings, oatcakes and whole bread plus some fresh salad. Getting hungry?
The kitchen also turns its hand to other traditional classics including Cullen Skink, ham 'n' haddie, rabbit casserole, loin of moorland lamb and fruit-packed clootie dumpling with Drambuie cream.
If single malts are your chosen tipple, you can take a dram or two after your meal. Also bear in mind that the restaurant is on The Whisky Trail, 400 yards from the world-famous Glenfiddich Distillery.
