Review on Chez Jerome
There has been a restaurant on this site for over over 30 years, with a number of different owners, and under a few different names but In October 2007, Jerome and Lina Dehoux took over the place and developed Chez Jerome into a Contemporary French Cuisine restaurant.
An award winning French Chef, Jerome has worked all over the world and has more than 15 years experience. His reputation has grown internationally, built on his work in several Michelin Star Hotels in France, Switzerland, and the USA. As much local produce as possible is sourced to create his 'magical blend' of menus. Expect warm asparagus with Poached egg and spicy hollandaise sauce when in season or baked pancake filled with creamy spinach and wild mushrooms before mains such as grilled calf liver with bacon, onions vintage Bordeaux wine Jus, potato puree and vegetables or grilled (Hortons & son) fillet of beef topped with foie gras, rich Porto jus, spinach and dauphinoise potatoes. Finish with a home made pudding such as pineapple cannelloni or a platter of French cheeses.
Look out for special events like an Elvis evening or Sunday lunch jazz.
