Review on Contempo

Contempo is the signature restaurant of the Hotel Catalonia Plaça Catalunya, located in the Eixample neighbourhood of downtown Barcelona. Close to the the Plaza Cataluña and the Ramblas. Contempo boasts a magnificent entrance into its modernist-style setting, built by one of Gaudí's teachers in 1899. Inside the restaurant, classically elegant decor provides a warm yet sophisticated atmosphere.

Contempo offers Mediterranean cuisine prepared by chef Josep Jorba, based upon the most traditional Catalan recipes and the use of seasonal market products. As well as a regular menu, Contempo features new and exciting specials every week. For a luxurious setting, Contempo also invites its customers to discover its exclusive bar, complete with a swimming pool and terrace.
