The house of Doctor Genové is one of the best examples of Gaudi-style modernism in Barcelona. Its ground floor is home to Genove 1911, a restaurant at the heart of the Ramblas close to the famous Boquería market. It offers Mediterranean cuisine specialising in shellfish (which can also be eaten as tapas) and seafood. The menu has something for everyone. Diners can choose from dishes such as cannelloni gratin, cod with a garlic mousse, grilled meats, seafood, meat or chicken brochettes and various types of paella (shellfish, meat, mixed, vegetable, Mexican or squid ink rice).
