Review on The Three Q's
The 'Three Qs' in question are the Quinn brothers, Brian, Paul and Colin, who own and run this cool, intimate restaurant on Greystones' main street. It's a clean-cut place with lots of light wood, easy colours and an almost Scandinavian feel that goes down well with visitors.
Globally-inspired menus take diners on a cook's tour with lots of surprises along the way. Get started with crab brik parcels, harissa relish and curry oil or pumpkin and walnut tortilla with beetroot and cumin salad, before stopping off for roast guinea fowl with pomegranate and redcurrant glaze or grilled fillet of hake with warm chickpea, butternut squash and tahini salad. Desserts are also eclectic in style, ranging from delicate pannacotta to spicy marinated Medjool dates with Mascarpone and shortbread. Weekend brunch gets rave reviews, with corn fritters and maple-glazed ribs much in demand.
