Bruce learned many of his skills and techniques direct from experts in the Far East, and he applies his knowledge to exquisite sushi, sashimi and tempura prepared from local ingredients. He also tackles creative modern European ideas like Kerry lamb with a cep and pistachio crust, crispy confit of duck with sweet potato gratin, corn-fed chicken with chorizo and thyme aïoli or paupiettes of sole with seafood colcannon.

Tourists and travellers can take advantage of excellent accommodation at Virginia's Guesthouse, which shares the same entrance as the restaurant. Bruce Mulcahy also runs a casual wine bar just down the road at 16 Henry Street.
