This restaurant's name is a bit of a give away, and a clear indication of its ethos: a down-to-earth French restaurant that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not. This small and charming gem on the attractive quayside is well worth a visit. Perennially popular with loyal locals and visitors alike, Quite Simply French offers classic French brasserie style cuisine, sans fussiness or snootiness. Expect main players such as steak frites, as well as interesting features such as green lipped mussels and wood pigeon, while fish plays a dominant part.
There is something so intoxicatingly enchanting about this bistro - whether it be the setting, the relaxing ambience and good company or simply the wine, you'll probably find that you will be here for hours. There are also some fantastic offers such as the Early Bird and the Simply Squiffy menus which are excellent value for money. A delightfully Gallic wine list.
