La Taberna del Capitán Alatriste is located in the heart of Madrid in a 16th century palace in the La Latina district. The beautifully decorated restaurant, which is styled on Madrid's Golden Age, takes its name from the novel by Arturo Pérez Reverte in which the author used this setting as the inspiration for the tavern visited by Capitán Alatriste. The menu offers sumptuous food using ingredients typical of Madrid, featuring specialities such as 'Capitán' rib of beef, grilled meats, Lebrija-style breadcrumbs and Flanders tart. There is also a long wine list with more than 175 wines.
