Review on Aperitivo
A remarkable place, out in the suburbs of Leeds, that looks a bit like a newsagent's from the outside. Originally Dough Bistro, a former bakery/deli, chef/patron Luke Downing decided to pursue his love of Italian food and changed the restaurant's name and concept to Aperitivo.
Amongst the starters look for pigs head terrine, crispy ear, mustard, pickles and bread before a main course of baked cod, caponata, beetroot fondue and pickled cucumber, or you could opt for pasta in the shape of squid ink taglietelle, beetroot béchamel, clams and dill.
To accompany the food, there's a well thought out wine list, beers and cocktails.
