Review on The Queen's Head
Once a local watering hole, the Queen's Head now wears a thoroughly contemporary suit of clothes; complete with restaurant, bistro and private dining rooms it plies its trade as a gastro pub.
The kitchen bases their menus on quality ingredients and wherever possible local produce. Dishes showcase modern European specialities including risotto of oak smoked haddock and chives followed by a main course of pan fried fillet of sea bass, sweet potato fondant, Spanish salsa verde sauce with fresh clams and mussels or roast chump of lamb, creamy mash and Moroccan spices sauce.
To finish you could choose white and dark chocolate mouse strawberry compote or tarte au citron with raspberries and mascarpone.
The bistro area has become a popular meeting place not only due to the close proximity to the M1 and M42, but with its roaring log fire and chic, stylish décor it has an informal and relaxed ambience.
