Review on Koo Japanese Restaurant

The Koo Japanese Restaurant is a relatively new addition to the gastronomic haven of Ludlow that sticks out like a sore thumb in this historic market town known for its excellent, traditional restaurants; but, it has brought a breath of fresh air to Ludlow's normal cuisine.

Thoroughly charming and authentic, Koo is renowned for its welcoming atmosphere where owner Mari Kure and her staff go out of their way to assist you. Expect a classic range of authentic Japanese cuisine from sushi to tempura, deftly prepared and exquisitely presented. Perhaps you might wash it all down, toast absent friends and get mildly tipsy with some warm sake. The restaurant is excellent value, particularly the two course lunch for £12.95 and the four course dinner (including sushi starter) for £22.95, available Thursday to Saturday.
