Review on EastzEast
Legendary Bradford restaurateurs, the Raja brothers, have brought their brand of Punjabi cooking to Manchester with EastzEast. Set in the Ibis Hotel, this venue is done out in sleek contemporary style with leather seating, minimalist tones and ambient lighting. It's a world away from Rusholme's 'curry mile'.
Prices are very fair and the menu is a huge affair listing countless appetisers, curries, sizzling karahi dishes, baltis and special Punjabi 'desi' dishes. Start with, say chicken samosa, lamb boti kebab, paneer pakora or masala fish, before chicken methi, lamb chop handi or one of the biryanis. Vegetarians do well here.
There's a second branch on Blackfriars Street, Deansgate and a further outlet at 19 Church Street, Preston, Lancashire.
