Review on The Restaurant at Danesfield House
Housed in the exquisite Danesfield House Hotel and Spa in Marlow, The Orangery is a traditional brasserie-style restaurant serving contemporary British cuisine and quintessentially British afternoon tea. With London less than a one hour drive away and set between the boutique towns of Marlow and Henley-on-Thames, The Restaurant at Danesfield House radiates elegance and has exquisite views, exceptional cuisine and exemplary service while offering a sophisticated yet relaxed dining experience.
Afternoon tea is served in the hotel's restaurant, with its stunning views out over 65 acres of beautifully manicured gardens or in the magnificent Grand Hall with a roaring log fire. On the menu are delicious freshly made finger sandwiches, irresistible cakes and pastries and warm oven-baked scones served with strawberry jam and Devonshire clotted cream. In the warmer months, opt for the hotel's glorious south-facing terrace. Choose from a wide selection of Jing teas, or a glass of ice-cold Pommery Champagne. Gluten-free scones, cakes and pastries are available on request.
