Review on Briciole
Briciole, meaning breadcrumbs is an Italian trattoria in Marylebone, younger sibling to Maurizio Morelli's critically acclaimed Latium Restaurant that has been going strong since 2003. The light and airy space, a former pub consists of a deli and café bar at the front, with the restaurant at the back and an outside area for al fresco dining.
The kitchen sends out a range of classic Italian dishes as well as some modern interpretations, together with platters designed to share. Typical dishes that appear on the menu are minestrone soup, meatballs with pizzaiola sauce and traditional Italian desserts like tiramisú. Accompanying the menu is a well-annotated assortment of wine, some from lesser known producers sourced from Italy at reasonable prices.
