Review on Reform Social & Grill, The Mandeville Hotel
Following a £15 million refurbishment, the re-vamped Mandeville Hotel in the heart of fashionably elegant Marylebone 'village' is making its presence felt as one of West London's premier boutique hotels. They have relaunched their deVille Restaurant as the Reform Social & Grill which opened in May 2012 with its own entrance. This all-day dining venue now features a smart décor with red leather banquettes in intimate booths, white tiled and copper coloured walls and dark wood flooring.
The kitchen works to a British inspired menu and serves breakfast, weekend brunch, lunch and afternoon tea as well as dinner utilising well sourced ingredients. You might begin with Cornish mackerel, squid, sea pickle and watercress before a main course of whole Megrim Sole, Morecambe Bay shrimps, caper and parsley butter. For pudding, its tradition all the way with the likes of Summer pudding and raspberry ripple ice cream or sticky toffee pudding paired with clotted cream ice cream. The wine list offers a carefully chosen selection from all the major wine-making countries and there is a tempting cocktail menu.
