Review on Adam & Eve
Adam & Eve is a smart Edwardian-style gastro pub in the heart of Mill Hill Village surrounded by greenbelt land and opposite a protected woodland. Set over two floors it has undergone a stylish makeover featuring chic dove grey walls, comfy leather couches, stripped wood flooring, pictures and mirrors adorning the walls, and a blazing fire for when its chilly. At the back of the pub you will find a secluded walled garden, ideal for a quiet drink or dining al fresco during the summer months.
The kitchen delivers a seasonal menu that changes monthly showcasing fresh local ingredients. Typical dishes that appear on the menu are haddock and salmon fishcake with mixed leaves, poached egg and hollandaise sauce or seared duck breast, bok choi, beansprouts and soy sauce. Main courses take in whole plaice with potato salad, cherry tomato, asparagus and caper and parsley butter dressing or roasted port fillet with preserved apple, mustard mash and Summer cabbage. When it comes to desserts you might see a pecan pie or vanilla cheesecake. The wine list has a good choice of quaffable stuff at realistic prices. Service is knowledgeable and friendly and Adam & Eve is a welcome addition to the area.
