The Palast der Winde is an Indian restaurant in the Glockenbach district in Munich's Isarvorstadt. It opened in 2008. The restaurant has a large selection of traditional North Indian dishes, such as curries and tandoori dishes. It also offers ayurveda meals and special lunch dishes which vary from day to day. The drinks menu includes traditional hot and cold drinks as well as wine and some unusual beverages, such as salty lassi, coconut juice, chai tea and Indian beer. The décor is red. There is seating for 60 diners indoors and 20 diners outdoors on the terrace. The layout is typically Indian. There are carvings, golden elephants, wooden wall panels, statues and colourful saris in the indoor area. The smell of ayurvedic spices and the sound of the sitar and the tabla help to give the restaurant its Indian feel.
