Review on Sea Marge Hotel, Frazer's Restaurant

Situated within easy reach of Cromer, this imposing half-timbered house was built in 1908 as a gentleman's retreat, standing high on the clifftops overlooking the North Sea. Over the years it has been improved and extended, but still retains much of its original character and special features.

Frazer's Restaurant is housed in a modern, conservatory-style extension, with smart fittings and high-backed leather chairs. The kitchen works to an eclectic menu that takes in the likes of local Cromer crab cakes with horseradish and endive salad, confit duck ravioli with wild mushrooms, braised marinated lamb shank and salmon Wellington with Thai broth.

Alternatively, enjoy the gregarious atmosphere in the Clement Scott bar, where the menu covers everything from steak and ale pie to Moroccan vegetable tagine with couscous - plus ciabatta sandwiches at lunchtime.
