Review on Edamame
Edamame is a small Japanese restaurant in the University City of Oxford and as such is a popular haunt for students and tourists alike. It gets it's name from a fresh green soy bean that is salted, eaten straight from the pod and is served as an appetizer. Situated in a quiet residential street, this informal restaurant is much in demand due to the authenticity of the cuisine and the very reasonable prices. There is a no booking policy. so it is not unusual to have to queue for a seat in this brightly lit, somewhat cramped eatery.
They offer three menus, one for lunch, a sushi menu on Thursdays evenings and an evening menu on Fridays and Saturdays. There is a basic choice of one house red or white wine, sake, Choya, a chilled fruity and aromatic Japanese plum wine, Japanese beer or Japanese cocktails.
