Review on Restaurant Rotana
Restaurant Rotana is a popular Lebanese restaurant in the Santa Catalina area of Palma de Mallorca, a short stroll from the Plaça la Feixina. The interior has beautifully decorated high ceilings and arches and the restaurant is decked out with exotic Eastern artefacts. Sit at the dark wood tables and chairs and the richly upholstered banquette seating, or for an authentic experience, reserve one of the low round Arabic tables and sit on plump cushions on the floor.
The menu explores the full range of authentic Lebanese cuisine, with food prepared using classic techniques to enhance the taste and texture of each dish. The mezze is a popular way to enjoy the diverse menu with dishes such as moutabal, a smoked aubergine pâtée or falafel, fried chickpea balls, finishing with Baklava, a rich sweet pastry filled with chopped nuts and honey. There is a well-stocked bar including Lebanese wines, as well as refreshing glasses of Lebanese green tea with mint and a hint of rosewater. Service is notably polite and attentive in a relaxed atmosphere.
