Review on Terminus nord
Terminus nord, another one of the Flo group of brasseries is situated just across the road from the International Gare du Nord. This marvellous restaurant, once the property of the Northern Railway Company is a mixture of art nouveau and art deco with its beautiful frescos, mirrors and chandeliers.
Chef Jean-Philippe Bourgueil's menu is typical French brasserie fare and seafood shows up well on the carte as in a starter of sardines marinated in pistou on a bed of tomato carpaccio, followed by mains of sole meuniere. Carnivores are not forgotten and you might find Terminus nord's speciality of calf's kidneys with mustard seed on the menu. Finish with traditional desserts such as rum baba with aged rum or pancakes flambéed in Grand Marnier. There is an interesting choice of French regional wines, and some are available by the pitcher.
